We are currently hiring for two positions at AUMC:
Annandale United Methodist Church (AUMC) is seeking a full-time (37.5 hours per week) Business Administrator. The Business Administrator is the central administrative and operational leader for the church. The church includes the main AUMC campus and the Heritage Drive Mission Center. He/she will serve as a strategic leader who is able to coordinate across the Committees, Church Council, pastors, and staff as well as keep the “operations moving”. The Business Administrator is also viewed as a “face” of the church for visitors, guests, tenants, and church members. The position reports directly to the Senior Pastor and supervises the functions and position of church Accountant. The successful candidate will enjoy leading and managing others, which includes displaying empathy and candor while addressing work performance of staff. Collaborate well with Pastors, staff, lay Committees, and church members. Evaluate activities and work with others to develop and implement more effective and efficient processes. Demonstrate a bias for action; be self-motivated, able to both self-direct and lead others. Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of related experience required. Possess excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work on daily basis. Possess proven planning, organization, and problem-solving skills.
The Childcare Supervisor is responsible for ensuring a high standard of care for all children while supervising and supporting other team members. They will work as part of a team to provide an environment in which all children can play, learn, develop, and grow in their relationship with God. Sunday morning hours currently are 8:45am-noon; specific hours may change as we continue to transition out of the pandemic.
Additionally, they are responsible for scheduling the childcare workers for all worship services and other church requested activities that require childcare. These may include Wednesday night choir practices and varied special activities/events.
