Our Mission

Rooted in Christ’s love for us and our call to love our neighbors, we seek to be present in our community, to grow in relationship with one another, to share our resources, and continue to build connections that transform lives. The Mission Center is part of Annandale United Methodist Church’s outreach efforts and one of the ways we show our love and care for our brothers and sisters across all religions and communities.

The Community We Serve

The Heritage neighborhood is a marvelous, multi-national, multi-ethnic community of loving people. Many have limited proficiency or do not speak English, are fleeing oppression and fear in their homelands, and are newly arrived. All deserve our love and support as they seek better lives for themselves and their families. It is an Environmental Justice area in which 60% of students at neighborhood schools receive free or reduced lunch.

Your Support

The Mission Center serves our community in a wide variety of ways, and we couldn't do it without your generous gifts of funding and time.

Donate

Unless otherwise specified, the Mission Center Board will use gifts to address the center’s most pressing needs.
